Reece SimFractional CTO · Founder @ Themespot

Now building Themespot

I make complex web projects feel simple.

Bring me a problem or a system. If it's technical and lives on the web, I'll extend it, optimise it, rebuild it, or tell you honestly to leave it alone. Fractional CTO for SaaS teams and agencies, and founder of Themespot.

Fractional CTO work

The work that needs a CTO in the room.

Engagements where the job was judgement: what to build, what to stop, and how to leave the team stronger than I found it.

Selected builds

Builds that show the judgement.

What clients say

My clients do the bragging.

True intelligence is being able to explain a complex topic so that a lay person can understand. He was honest, forthright, and focused on what truly mattered — someone you can trust to guide a project thoughtfully, efficiently, and with your best interests in mind.

How I got here

Fifteen years of shipping, then the seat that needed it.

  1. 2011

    First builds

Building for the web since 2011: agencies, then my own practice.

  2. 2019–24

    Your Web Consultant

Ran a specialist HubSpot practice for agencies and enterprise clients: full theme builds, migrations, regulated landing-page systems, long-term ownership of multi-site estates.

  3. 2025

    Fractional CTO

Embedded with a SaaS founder team for a year: rescued the MVP, shipped the roadmap, and made the pause-or-push calls.

  4. 2026–present

    Founder, Themespot

Designing and shipping an AI content-operations platform for HubSpot.
